New Warp Code Feature Makes AI Development More Transparent and Editable
Warp is rolling out Warp Code, a new feature set designed to give developers more transparency and control when working with AI coding agents. The update allows users to see exactly what the AI changes, review diffs, and adjust code in real time, building a collaborative feedback loop.
The interface preserves Warp’s recognizable design, combining a command bar, an AI response window, and a panel showing edits step by step. Developers can edit code directly, highlight lines for added context, and use Warp’s compiler to fix errors automatically. Founder Zach Lloyd said the intention is to keep users in control, enabling them to review and refine rather than passively accept AI output.
Warp faces competition from Cursor, Windsurf, Lovable, and AI-powered command-line tools from Anthropic and OpenAI. While Warp uses external models, it differentiates with its collaborative approach. The company continues to expand, boasting 600,000 active users and an ARR growth of $1 million every 10 days.
