Google’s AI Mode expands globally, adds new agentic features
Google announced a major global rollout of AI Mode, its search feature designed to handle complex queries and follow-up questions. Along with the expansion, the company is introducing more agent-like and personalized tools.
The update brings AI Mode to 180 additional countries in English, after previously being limited to the U.S., U.K., and India. Google also plans to add more languages soon.
One highlight is the ability to book restaurant tables by specifying preferences like party size, cuisine, date, time, and location. AI Mode then checks reservation platforms for real-time availability and presents tailored options.
The feature is currently accessible to Google AI Ultra subscribers in the U.S. via an experiment in Google Labs. Ultra is the company’s premium plan, priced at $249.99 per month.
In addition, AI Mode now offers search personalization, starting with dining topics, and allows users to share answers through a new “Share” button for collaborative planning.
