During Alphabet’s Q2 2025 earnings call, CEO Sundar Pichai revealed rapid growth for the company’s AI services. AI Overviews in Search, launched globally across 200 markets, now counts 2 billion monthly users, up from 1.5 billion just two months earlier.

Gemini, Google’s dedicated AI app, has reached 450 million monthly active users. Daily interactions have climbed more than 50% since Q1.

The company’s AI infrastructure is also scaling quickly. Monthly tokens processed have doubled from 480 trillion in May to 980 trillion today.

Pichai pointed to these gains as proof of the increasing role of AI in Google’s consumer products.
