Palo Alto Networks in talks to acquire CyberArk for over $20bn

Reports indicate that Palo Alto Networks is in talks to acquire CyberArk Software in a deal valued at more than $20 billion. The acquisition would be the largest in the US cybersecurity company’s history.

The Wall Street Journal, citing informed sources, suggests the agreement could be finalized within the week. The deal would align with Palo Alto Networks’ push to expand its capabilities in response to the increasingly complex threat landscape shaped by artificial intelligence.

CyberArk’s identity and access management solutions would complement Palo Alto Networks’ broad security portfolio, offering more integrated defenses for clients.

The news comes on the heels of Palo Alto Networks’ acquisition of Protect AI, enhancing its Prisma AIRS platform to secure AI systems in various industries.
